Bubbling Spring Acupuncture Clinic is a modern, well established clinic with a great reputation. Our main clinic is in Stanground, Peterborough just off the ring road and we hold two satellite clinics in Oundle. We offer an online appointment booking facility, making it easy for you to book a time that suits you 24/7.
Helen first encountered Acupuncture and Shiatsu through the practice of Taijiquan and Qigong. Her practice of these internal martial arts not only helped her with her chronic back pain, but also created an understanding of the foundations of Chinese Medicine.
Since opening the clinic in Peterborough in 2015, Helen has established herself as someone who provides great care using a combination of traditional and modern medical treatments and exercises.
Her qualifications include TCM acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, shiatsu, sports therapy, cupping, pilates, qigong and meditation. She completed her initial TCM acupuncture training at a leading acupuncture teaching facility in the UK under Maria Mercati, and then a TCM hospital in Hangzhou, China. Her shiatsu training took place at the oldest shiatsu school in the UK – the Norwich branch of The Shiatsu College, under Cliff Andrews and Dinah John. Helen is therefore proud to provide a high level of expertise and skill.
Originally a scientist, Helen enjoys combining her problem solving abilities with her therapeutic skills to diagnose and treat her patients.
In 2020 Helen opened a second clinic in Oundle and is now based at Oundle Osteopaths one day a week.
Helen has full membership with the Acupuncture Association and the British Acupuncture Federation. She is a committed practitioner who is always developing herself professionally so that she can provide the best possible care for her patients.

The name of the clinic comes from the Chinese acupuncture point Yong Quan, which translates as bubbling spring or gushing spring. This is the first acupuncture point on the kidney channel in our bodies, located on the sole of the foot. The kidneys are the most important organ in Chinese medicine. If you have abundant kidney Qi, you are strong physically and sound mentally and emotionally.
Here at Bubbling Spring we work with you to revive, restore and rebalance so that you can return to a state of abundant wellbeing.
Chinese acupuncture, zen shiatsu, cupping - what are they and how might they help you?
