Helen's path into traditional East Asian medicine began through her own practice of Taijiquan and Qigong, where she first encountered the principles and philosophy at the heart of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Receiving acupuncture and Shiatsu treatments herself, and finding they helped in ways other approaches hadn't, she became fascinated by this different way of understanding the body. That curiosity led her to retrain, and eventually to open the clinic in Peterborough in 2015.

Helen holds qualifications in TCM acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, Zen Shiatsu, sports therapy, cupping, Pilates, and herbal medicine, with training completed in both the UK and China. Alongside this, she undertakes ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest advances in natural healthcare.

She is a full member of both the Acupuncture Association and the Acupuncture Regulatory Authority (ARA), formerly the British Acupuncture Federation.

With a strong scientific background, including a doctorate, Helen brings together traditional wisdom and evidence-informed practice in a way that is thoughtful, compassionate, and grounded. Clients frequently describe feeling genuinely listened to and cared for.

Outside the clinic, Helen enjoys creating music and the outdoors. Day-to-day she enjoys walking her Whippet, swimming, tennis and gardening. She has also been known to climb frozen waterfalls Norway, crew a tall ship back from the Scilly Isles, ride a motorbike through scenic North Wales and dive wrecks in Bali.
